Is your prayer answered – read how Christians should pray

Today I was reading a bible from my home. Indeed the scriptures taught me something which I could not keep it alone. I had to share with you my readers.

Is your prayer really answered; have you got something you have prayed for since the beginning of your salvation? Do not worry.

God answers our prayers and always listens to our cries for help. However, things cannot happen immediately how you like them to happen and why?

This is because we have faith but we don’t have actions, we pray but with our own motives, ambitions and unfaithfulness.

Does really God listens to your prayer? That is a question you must have been asked from everyone who always see you in salvation. Now today, let us understand how to pray so that we are considered immediately.

It is better you get a bible close to you so that we learn and understand together. Amen!

Scripture Reference

1 peter 5:5-6 “…..God resists the proud, but shows favor to the humble. Humble yourselves then, under God’s mighty hand, so that he will lift you up in his own good time”

There is a bigger difference between being humble and proud. Proud are those who believe they are going to achieve or who have achieved something and humble ones are those who obey the word of God, their leaders and everything.

Humble yourself, then God shall show you favor that He can lift you. Before you pray loud and fast, God have already listened to your prayers and he is going to take of your worries.

Scripture Reference

1 Peter 5:7 “Leave all your worries with him, because he cares for you.”

Are you yet humble? Don’t worry any more. God has listened and had cared for your worries, your tears and you shall receive a miracle.

How best can we pray for God to answer our needs?

As have promised in the beginning, to share with you how best we can pray. In this process, let us consider prayers, faiths and action:

PRAYERS

Scripture Reference

James 4:3“And when you ask, you do not receive it, because your motives are bad; you ask for things to use for your own pleasure”

Yes, the scripture can really be understood; you have prayed a lot and you want things but still you cannot have them. Why? Because you have your own motives, that are bad and against God’s will. You want to use them for your own pleasures. For example some want to be rich to drive expensive cars, to construct good houses, marry beautiful wives or husbands and live a luxurious life. What if you want and ask for rich or possession of materials to help the needy, construct churches or improve ministries? Those are the good motives, benefit you and the Lord. Change your motives and control fierce desires.

Is it too late to turn yourself to God

So when you pray, have patience, be humble and have faith. Because Job was faithful, he won God’s favor and you know what God provided to him at the end? He doubled whatever he had lost.

FAITH AND ACTION

Scripture Reference

James 3:21-22 “How was our ancestor Abraham put right with God? It was through his actions; when he offered his son Isaac on alter. Can’t you see? His faith and his actions worked together; his faith was made perfect through his actions”

Despite how much you pray, but without faith and actions, then things may not change. God needs our faith but with actions.

To understand faith very well, read Hebrews 11. If we put faith and actions together, God shall respond to our prayers and things we desire for as long are of good motives and pleases God not the world. You will have them once you pray.

Because through praying, we understand the word of God and his grace towards our lives.

Once you read these things, write them on your heart and start practicing them. Don’t love money so much because money is the root of most evils in the world. Seek wisdom to understand God and you will be wealth in spirit.

Scripture Reference

Hebrews 13:5 “keep your lives free from the love of money; and be satisfied with what you have; for God has said “I will never leave you, I will never abandon you”

Thank you for reading. Let me hope you have understood how to pray so that God can listen to your prayers. Be humble, patient, and faithful and have good motives for your prayers.
